🎉 Fellowship award announcement 🎉
After spending the last few years conducting highly productive and successful research at Western University. I am pleased to share that I’ve been awarded a Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral Fellowship, beginning in September 2025 at Dalhousie University's School of Biomedical Engineering.
My research will focus on the development of personalized techniques to support early-stage osteoarthritis diagnosis. This interdisciplinary project aims at translating engineering insights into innovative clinical interventions utilizing biomechanics, biomaterials and computational modelling.
I will be working in the Laboratory of bioinspired and biosourced soft materials under the supervision of Dr. Vahid Adibnia, Ph.D.. This lab designs #functional #polymeric #biomaterials with applications in #osteoarthritis therapy, wound healing, and beyond. The project is also co-supervised by Dr. Janie Astephen Wilson, whose Orthopaedic Biomechanics Lab focuses on using computational biomechanics to provide insight into the mechanical pathways of osteoarthritis progression.
Excited to begin this next chapter in Halifax, my Canadian hometown.
P.s. The picture here is from June 2023, when I visited Dalhousie as a PhD candidate presenting at the Canadian Biomaterials Society Annual Meeting. Being in the middle of the moving phase, I have not had the time to take a different picture :)Â
